    Our local government client is seeking a Resource/Environmental Planner to join their Regulatory and Compliance Group. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced planner to join a close-knit team that plays a vital role in fostering its community, preserving the environment, and influencing the future.
     
    Under the supervision of the Regulatory and Compliance Group Manager, you will be responsible for administering and meeting statutory requirements outlined in the Resource Management Act 1991 and the Local Government Act 1974. Your responsibilities encompass resource management, district planning, compliance and policy, ensuring adherence to legal requirements, and promoting sustainable development in a growing community.
     
    To be successful in this role you will have:

    • two years’ minimum experience in a Planner role
    • a bachelor’s degree and/or a master’s degree in a planning-related field
    • thorough understanding of resource management and environmental regulations
    • familiarity with relevant planning legislation
    • excellent written and oral communication skills
    • the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
    • a proactive nature and self-motivation, with a passion for planning
    • a full, current driver’s license
