The Government Communication Security Bureau is excited to be developing a fit for purpose Finance function to enable the intelligence community.

About the role:

This is an exciting role where you are responsible for developing a customised and effective FBP service that aligns with strategy, meets the needs of the business and improves decision making.  You will develop robust financial planning and reporting functions, a high performing team, and promote the services across the business.
As a member of the Finance leadership team, you will also contribute to Finance strategy, and foster a collaborative Finance team culture promoting continuous improvement and a customer service focus.

To be successful:

  • You will be a CA qualified, and ideally led FBP within the Public Sector.
  • You will be a leader who is passionate about business partnering, can build capability and lead change. 
  • Along with commercial nous and the ability to work strategically, you will also demonstrate excellent stakeholder management skills, and can influence direction whilst building trust and confidence.

To be eligible for employment within the NZIC you must have been a NZ citizen for at least 10 years. Alternatively, you must hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years.
You must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Special (TSS) security clearance. Ordinarily to obtain this level of clearance, candidates must have a 15 year check-able background in countries where meaningful and reliable checks can be undertaken. Where requisite checks are unable to be made, the candidate application may not be able to be progressed.
