Our client is focussed on lifting the strategic capability of finance and building a centre of excellence. In this newly created position within a fast-paced environment, your role will be focussed on leading a team and working with the Deputy Chief Executives to improve the strategy, planning and financial and non-financial performance of the group.
 
This will involve challenging thinking and influencing key business decisions and the long-term planning.  You will also provide strategic analysis and highlight financial and non-financial risks to the business.  
 
We are looking for a candidate who can develop innovative solutions to business challenges and ensure compliance with regulations. Along with excellent people and relationship skills, and the ability to work strategically, you will also motivate the team and drive a continuous improvement and customer services focus.
 
To be successful:

• Chartered Accountant or equivalent
• As a leader passionate about partnering with the business, you will excel at building capability and driving change.
• Along with a depth of strategic ability, you will demonstrate success in building high performing teams and delivery management.
• In addition to strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking, you will showcase exceptional stakeholder management skills, effectively influencing direction while building trust and confidence.
• You will have knowledge and understanding of the machinery of government, and financial governance.
• You will be a strong communicator and will have the ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial people.
