Are you looking for a broad and varied digital communications role where you can apply your expertise? This is a great opportunity for a digital specialist to provide key support across the breadth of the Real Estate Authority’s online presence. You’ll be a key contributor to our work to see people across New Zealand confidently engaging in fair transactions with trusted real estate professionals.  
 
Developing website strategies, content plans, UX enhancement and site performance analysis will be key strengths. Working across both our consumer information site Settled.govt.nz and our regulatory site rea.govt.nz, you’ll ensure our engaging digital and social media advertising programme is data and insights-led and work with internal experts and external partners to help raise awareness of REA as the conduct regulator of the New Zealand real estate industry.
 
What you will do
In this role you will:

  • Play a key role in delivering REA’s digital communications strategy, plan and activities
  • Lead the delivery of all website strategies, roadmaps, website content design and performance monitoring for rea.govt.nz and settled.govt.nz
  • Ensure REA reaches and engages our target audiences in the ideal online spaces
  • Work collaboratively to develop engaging and informative content for a range of channels, including online video
  • Provide specialist advice and insights to support the ongoing development of our digital presence and its effective integration within our broader marketing and communications activity
  • Be part of a highly skilled and supportive team with a mission to protect the interests of consumers and promote public confidence in the performance of real estate agency work

 
What you will bring
You will have:

  • Technical experience in digital channel management including site analytics
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining quality under pressure
  • Experience in developing digital communications channel strategies and plans
  • Ability to engage positively with stakeholders to ensure digital solutions are well-aligned to strategic priorities and objectives
  • Experience actively leveraging vendor relationships at a strategic, technical and commercial level to ensure optimal performance and ROI
  • Experience working in regulatory, other government, legal, or consumer protection environments an advantage but not essential
