Project Accountant

• Provide advice & monitor financial performance
• Oversee funding & complete business case analysis
• Permanent role

This is an exciting role for a capable and proactive project accountant, who brings past experience working on large scale projects within a public sector environment.
 
Your focus will be to:

• Oversee and manage the financial performance of projects and provide quality advice and support to project managers.
• Along with providing robust budgeting, forecasting and monthly project and variance analysis reporting, you will also be responsible for monitoring funding streams and assessing next stage funding requirements.
• This will involve liaising with project managers to keep abreast of project status,
• You will also ensure the integrity of ledgers, the capitalisation of WIP and determine capex vs opex expenditure.
• There may also be ad hoc modelling and costing, business case analysis, budget bid and capital planning work.

 
To be considered you will be:

• CA qualified and bring a depth of past experience gained in project accounting roles.
• You will demonstrate strong analytical and reporting skills and, as this is a business facing role, also have strong relationship management and communication skills, with the ability to influence direction.
• Any experience within central government will be viewed favourably.
