Our client is developing a fit for purpose Finance function to enable the sector.  
 
About the role:

We are looking for a capable financial accountant, with strong attention to detail, and good financial accounting skills. Your focus will be on the preparation of the monthly and annual financial statements and ensuring the integrity and timeliness of external reporting.
You will be involved in ensuring the integrity of the GL, completing balance sheet reconciliations, fixed asset accounting and tax compliance work. You may also assist with cashflow management and respond to Select Committee, Parliamentary Questions and Treasury queries. 
 
To be successful:

• You will be CA qualified, demonstrate sound technical knowledge and past financial accounting experience.
• Along with strong communication skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines, you will also bring good analytical skills and the ability to problem solve.

To be eligible for employment, you must have been a NZ citizen for at least 10 years. Alternatively, you must hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of UK, USA, Canada, or Australia for at least 10 years.
