Principal Advisor Strategic Finance

  • Lead investment modelling and cost out services
  • Provide investment guidance & analysis
  • Perm role circa $150-162k

As Principal Advisor Investment, your role is to provide specialist investment advice, guidance and analysis to enable decision making. This includes:

  • Gaining an in-depth understanding of the agency’s fiscal environment and costs drivers.
  • Developing an investment model to enable informed investment decision making.
  • Delivering expert financial and investment analysis to support budget bids and business cases.
  • Providing expert advice and guidance to senior management on investment strategies, and financial planning and funding requirements in line with agency goals.

To be considered, we are looking for a capable candidate who can operate strategically with senior management. This includes:

  • Relevant qualifications in finance or economics and CA or CFA qualified
  • A depth of experience developing and implementing investment frameworks and strategies ideally within a central government agency.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with advanced financial modelling skills and the use of data analysis tools and investment software.
  • Ability to work with complex data to make informed investment decisions and recommendations.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to build collaborative relationships and effectively communicate investment concepts to senior management.
  • A proactive and results-driven approach, with the ability to work independently and manage priorities.
