Principal Planner

6 month Central Government contract 

We are partnering with a nationwide organisation in the search for a Principle Planner for an hourly rate contract. This role involves developing strategies, assessing resource consents, and providing expert planning advice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the assessment and management of resource consent applications
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and planning provisions
• Provide expert advice on complex planning matters, including environmental impact assessments, land use planning, and heritage preservation.

About You:

• Tertiary qualification in planning/resource management with 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Skilled in resource consents, designations, and planning applications.
• Knowledge of legislation like the Public Works Act and Building Act.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Previous exposure to central and local government environment
