Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About the role
Dedicated and detail-oriented, the Governance and Compliance Officer will provide comprehensive support to the Board of Directors, its sub-committees, the Boards of subsidiaries and associated groups. This role is pivotal in ensuring effective governance practices, facilitating seamless communication, and upholding the principles of transparency and accountability within Tū Ātea. The Governance and Compliance Officer will report into the Chief Executive Officer and serve as a liaison between the Board, management and external stakeholders.

Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience
The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Māori Studies, or a related field.
• Proven experience in governance support.
• Strong understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its application in a corporate context.
• Proficiency in Te Reo Māori and familiarity with tikanga.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
