About the role:
Are you a passionate leader who can lead the financial accounting, transactional processing, internal controls and compliance, and external reporting functions for this central government agency?
This is an exciting opportunity to develop a high performing team, champion best practice and manage the quality and timeliness of output.
As a member of the Finance leadership team, you will also contribute to the organisation’s finance strategy and team culture and promote a continuous process improvement and customer service ethos.
To be successful:
- We are looking for a CA qualified candidate who brings strong technical knowledge and past experience leading financial accounting and control responsibilities.
- Along with strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills and the ability to manage multiple deliverables, you will also be proactive, demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and bring energy and drive.
- Any Public Sector experience will be viewed favourably.

To be eligible for employment you will need to have been a NZ citizen for at least 10-years, with a 15-year checkable background in countries where meaningful and reliable checks can be undertaken.
