Applications are invited for the dynamic role of Assistant Director (Academic), Future Learning and Development, a senior position at the University of Canterbury with responsibility for leading blended, hybrid and online learning development from an academic perspective. The appointee will have the opportunity to fully engage their passion for pioneering the future of learning to lead and influence the next generation of hybrid, blended and digital learning experiences in a fast-paced and innovative environment.
The Future Learning and Development team is at the forefront of cutting-edge pedagogy and learner-centric education. The Assistant Director (Academic) will report directly to the Dean/Director of Future Learning and Development and be responsible for identifying and supporting the development and delivery of engaging, innovative and future-focused learning solutions across the scope of blended and fully online courses and programmes. You will be an accomplished people leader and proven team player with significant experience in hybrid/online delivery, and a sound understanding of higher education and current and emerging online education technologies. Ph.D qualified, your strategic ability and experience of project management and quality assurance will ensure you manage the team effectively from a solid operational base, while your demonstrated strengths in innovation and collaboration will enable you to thrive in this impactful role where you can genuinely shape education for tomorrow’s learners during an exciting time of growth and change.
