Financial Accounting Manager

• Wellington CBD location
• 11 month fixed term contract
• Up to $150k

 
Our client requires a Financial Accounting Manager who is technically capable to join their team.
 
Responsibilities included but are not limited to:

• Lead and mentor a team of four accounting professionals
• Ensuring all Financial Accounting team processes and procedures are fully documented and up to date.
• Manage the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors
• Maintain and improve internal controls and financial processes
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and NZ GAAP
• Stay across changes in accounting standards and their application
• Have the ability to communicate and develop relationships across the organisation

 
 
To be considered, you will be:

• CA qualified, with 5+ years’ experience
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and NZ GAAP
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail, proven ability to meet deadlines
• Highly developed interpersonal skills, able to build effective working relationships both internally and externally
• A people leader
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
