Highly sought after as a retirement option, Kāpiti Retirement Trust (KRT) operates three retirement village sites on the Kāpiti Coast that offer a range of accommodation options to achieve its charitable purpose of providing appropriate independent living and care options for its residents. From independent lifestyle villas and apartments through to the full range of aged care including rest home care suites, community respite care, hospital and secure dementia care. 

KRT is looking to appoint a new Chief Executive to lead the organisation and ensure it continues to enjoy the outstanding reputation it currently enjoys with its valued residents and the community. Bringing a diversity of commercial experience, the new Chief Executive will have both extensive operational leadership and experience, possibly in the retirement village sector, and a strong people focus. KRT is a unique blend of commerciality and for-purpose, so this role requires a senior leader with clear strategic vision and commercial acumen alongside an empathetic, people-first approach. 

This is a great role for a credible and experienced senior leader who understands the bigger picture and thrives on the challenge of finding innovative ways to deliver the best operational and financial performance while maintaining a positive culture of care and kindness. You will be a respectful and competent relationship builder who can initiate and maintain trusted relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and in the wider community. Experienced at working constructively at board level, your intuitive relationship skills will be second to none.
