Senior Financial Accountant

We’re seeking an immediately available experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join a high-performing team and lead key reporting, business planning, and mentoring activities.
 
In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting monthly and quarterly financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls.
  • Statutory reporting, ensuring compliance with NZ IFRS and GAAP
  • Assist with business planning, including budgeting for operational and project costs.
  • Act as a mentor within the team and provide technical guidance on complex accounting matters.
  • Stay up-to-date with evolving accounting standards and contribute to risk and compliance initiatives.

 
The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a qualified Chartered Accountant (or equivalent) and have 5+ years of experience
  • Have previous experience within Big4, plus commercial experience
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and be comfortable mentoring
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail
  • Have the ability to work in a fast paced and complex environment

 
We’re looking for someone with strong technical accounting skills, excellent problem-solving ability, and the ability to work with a range of stakeholders.
