Are you an experienced HR leader ready to make a real impact? The Masonic Villages Trust (TMVT) is seeking a proactive and people-focused Human Resources Manager to stand up and lead our HR function within a growing network of aged care and retirement villages.

About the role
As our HR Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the employee experience for over 420 staff around the lower North Island. Reporting to the CEO, you’ll lead the implementation of a new HRIS, support managers with expert HR advice and develop initiatives that enhance engagement, performance and culture.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading HR strategy and compliance for TMVT and its subsidiaries.
• Overseeing HRIS implementation and optimisation.
• Contribution to Board papers and meetings.
• Supporting recruitment, onboarding and performance development.
• Advising managers on employment relations and HR best practice.
• Developing employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives.

What you’ll bring
We’re looking for someone who is confident, collaborative and passionate about people.

You’ll have:

• A relevant tertiary qualification in HR or a related field.
• Proven HR leadership experience in organisations with 200+ staff.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR systems.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• A strategic mindset with the ability to lead change.
