Financial Reporting and Tax Analyst

We’re looking for a Financial Reporting & Tax Analyst to join a well-established financial services organisation. This role is suited to someone with strong technical accounting skills and experience in tax compliance and financial reporting
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review financial reports under international accounting standards.
  • Support tax compliance including GST, FBT, and income tax.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and month-end processes.
  • Cross team collaboration to analyse financial data.
  • Liaise with auditors and internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to process improvements and reporting efficiency.

Key Requirements:

  • CA qualified (or equivalent), with 3 – 5 years’ experience in accounting and tax.
  • Experience in insurance, financial services, or a Big 4 audit environment.
  • Strong understanding of NZ tax, US GAAP, NZ GAAP/IFRS.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A proactive mindset and comfort with ambiguity and change.
