EA/Event Manager

  • Flexible, remote working with a supportive team
  • Plan and deliver engaging national events
  • Make an impact in NZ’s sustainable agriculture future

This is your chance to join a small, high-performing team working on game-changing solutions for one of New Zealand’s most important industries. As a part of AgriZeroNZ you’ll be helping farmers stay globally competitive by reducing emissions while staying productive and profitable.

You’ll be at the centre of a world-first public-private partnership bringing together government and major primary sector organisations to accelerate real-world change. The work being done is about investing to protect the future of New Zealand’s economy, while supporting farmers to transition in practical, sustainable ways.

You’ll be the go-to person, supporting members of the executive team and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, while also stepping out front to help deliver events that connect farmers, innovators, and industry leaders.

What you will be doing:

  • Providing EA support to the executive team including proactive calendar management and inbox coordination in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Organising complex domestic and international travel, including coordinating itineraries, meetings across time zones, and stakeholder engagement
  • Planning and delivering national events such as advisory group workshops, stakeholder events and team attendance at national and regional field days, including logistics, stakeholder coordination, and on-the-ground support
  • Preparing presentations, reports, and key documents to support decision-making
  • Building strong relationships across government, industry, and the agricultural sector
  • Keeping systems, records, and processes running smoothly, consistently looking for smarter, more efficient ways of working

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience as an assistant to senior management
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively and juggle competing demands
  • Self-motivated team player with a solutions focus and can-do attitude
  • Confidence dealing with senior stakeholders, delivering or supporting events and with a high level of attention to detail and autonomy
  • A calm, composed approach when under pressure and can adapt when priorities shift
  • Highly proactive with the ability to anticipate needs and take initiative, even in ambiguous situations
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work with a wide range of personalities and work styles
  • Tech-savvy, with confidence using Outlook and an interest in leveraging tools like Copilot to improve efficiency

What’s in it for you:

  • Flexible, remote working
  • The opportunity to support a collaborative, purpose-driven leadership team
  • Work that directly contributes to the future of New Zealand’s agricultural sector
  • A varied role combining executive support, travel coordination, and event delivery
  • Being part of a team turning big ideas into real-world impact

If you’re looking for a role where you can combine executive support, events, and purpose-driven work, we’d love to hear from you.
