Systems Accountant

• Fixed-term Systems Accountant role – up to $130k
• Drive FMIS optimisation and financial systems support
• Experience in TechOne, Oracle or SAP highly regarded

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Systems Accountant to join a large and complex organisation supporting critical financial systems and business operations. This fixed-term position will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the Finance Management Information System (FMIS), providing expert systems accounting support and ensuring the ongoing integrity of financial processes and reporting.
 
Working closely with finance, technology and operational stakeholders, you will be the go-to specialist for financial system functionality, optimisation, upgrades, controls, and user support.
 
Key responsibilities:

• Provide expert advice on financial systems functionality and best practice
• Maintain and optimise the FMIS to support efficient financial operations
• Lead and support system upgrades, enhancements and testing activities
• Manage financial system configurations, ledgers, hierarchies and interfaces
• Ensure strong financial controls and data integrity across the system
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex systems issues
• Develop user documentation, training materials and support resources
• Partner with stakeholders to identify and deliver process improvements

About you:
You will bring a blend of accounting knowledge and financial systems expertise, along with the ability to build strong working relationships across the business.
 
To be successful, you will have:

• Experience as a Systems Accountant or Financial Systems Specialist
• Exposure to major ERP platforms such as TechnologyOne, Oracle or SAP
• Knowledge of financial systems administration, integrations and reporting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication abilities
• Experience supporting system upgrades, testing and change initiatives
