Are you a seasoned HR professional with experience of driving organisational success through effective HR practices? If so, Health New Zealand – Te Whatu Ora, Palmerston North and Whanganui invite you to consider joining their People and Partnering team. Reporting to the People Partnering Lead, you’ll provide strategic and operational guidance across all areas of human resources and industrial relations including performance management, employee engagement, remuneration, and complex employee relation matters.
 
As their next Senior Human Resource Business Partner, in either Palmerston North and/or Whanganui, you will play a pivotal role in building engagement, development, and support for their outstanding workforce by partnering a positive work culture and enhance organisational effectiveness. You will have the opportunity to make a real impact by contributing to the success of the health community. Your key responsibilities:
 

  • At least seven to ten years’ experience in a HR generalist role operating in a similar role and industry.
  • In depth knowledge of legal requirements around New Zealand’s employment law and employment relations matters.
  • Proven experience working within a heavily unionised environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to partner with others to influence change at all levels, establish and maintain positive working relationships within Hospital & Specialist Services.
  • Highly developed problem-solving skills with the ability to find current solutions.
  • Able to execute continuous improvement initiatives, strategies, and programmes.
