He is also part of the team at JacksonStone that assists Te Kawa Mataaho Public Service Commission with senior appointments. Simon has made a number of parliamentary and statutory appointments, and he has recruited numerous chief executives and executive team members for local government city, district and regional councils. Other areas of speciality include strategy, regulatory, policy and legal.
