Our client delivers complex operational services across New Zealand. With ever increasing demand, there is a strong emphasis on improved financial management and performance. They require a capable Finance Business Partner to support the business and assist them in making informed decisions that ensure value for money.
As a Finance Business Partner, you will play an important role in providing financial advice and analysis to senior managers within a dedicated business portfolio. You will contribute to financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial decision-making to ensure optimal performance.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide robust financial advice to management teams, and support key business initiatives.
- Deliver accurate and forward-thinking financial insights to drive decision-making.
- Deliver budgeting and forecasting and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders to enhance collaboration and financial awareness.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function.
To be successful:
- Chartered Accountant or equivalent
- Proven experience in financial planning, business partnering, or senior management accounting ideally within a government agency.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial performance clearly.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A proactive, strategic mindset with the confidence to challenge and influence decisions.
