Finance and Business Services Manager
We are partnering with a respected Wellington-based organisation seeking an experienced Finance & Business Services Manager to lead a broad corporate services portfolio.
Reporting to the General Manager Corporate, this is a pivotal leadership role with responsibility for finance, procurement, ICT, plus more.
This is an opportunity to influence strategic decision making while ensuring strong financial leadership, operational effectiveness, and sound governance practices across the organisation. You will work closely with executive leaders, senior stakeholders, and Board-level committees to support long-term organisational success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead finance, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial strategy.
- Drive organisational planning, performance reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee procurement, risk management, governance processes, and business services functions.
- Manage key external relationships, including service providers and government stakeholders.
- Lead and develop a small team while fostering a high-performance culture.
You will bring:
- Significant senior finance leadership experience, ideally within the public sector/crown entity environment.
- Strong expertise in financial management, planning, reporting, and governance.
- Experience partnering with executive teams, Boards, and senior stakeholders.
- A proven ability to lead change, improve processes, and deliver organisational outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills, sound judgement, and a collaborative leadership style.
A CA qualification (or equivalent) is essential.
