Our client is a local government organisation committed to improving housing outcomes and supporting sustainable community development. Working in partnership with government agencies, iwi, community organisations, and housing providers, they are delivering a range of initiatives that address current and future housing needs.
 
About the Role
This fixed-term opportunity will see you supporting the delivery of a substantial housing programme through to June 2027. Working closely with the Housing Programme Manager, you’ll coordinate and progress a diverse portfolio of projects focused on affordable housing, papakāinga development, housing quality, homelessness initiatives, and community partnerships.
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate delivery of multiple housing programme projects
  • Manage project documentation, reporting, and timelines
  • Support stakeholder engagement across internal and external partners
  • Monitor project risks, milestones, budgets, and actions
  • Assist with funding applications and programme administration

 
Skills & Experience Required
We are seeking a practical and organised project professional who enjoys working across multiple stakeholders and delivering meaningful community outcomes.

  • Project management or project coordination experience
  • Background in housing, local government, planning, or community development
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
  • Excellent organisation, communication, and reporting abilities
  • Understanding of housing, urban development, or community housing issues

 
Start Date: ASAP
 
Length of Contract: Fixed term through to 30 June 2027
