The Manager External Strategy and Programmes reports to the DCE – CE’s Office, Strategy and People and is accountable for translating organisational strategy and agreed frameworks, including the Harm Prevention Programmes Approach (HPPA), into multi-year external programmes that deliver Te Korowai o Kaitiakitanga and Maritime NZ’s harm prevention outcomes in partnership with the sector and others.
 
The role will maintain a system-level view across external programmes with a strong focus on measurable outcomes and benefit realisation. Working across the organisation, the role ensures an integrated, collaborative and outcomes-focussed approach to programme delivery and regulatory approach.
 
To be considered for this important role, you must have proven leadership experience that includes people, strategy, programme delivery, and stewardship. As a person you will be systems-thinking and delivery-focused. It would be helpful to have experience working in a regulatory environment and/or harm prevention and you must be collaborative and an effective relationship developer.
